Job Summary

As a QE Engineer in the Integration testing team at Staples, you'll work in a fast-paced environment focused on end-to-end testing of Staples E-Commerce platforms using web and responsive mobile experience. Your responsibilities include developing and executing manual and automated test plans, automation scripts development and maintenance while supporting quality assurance standards. You’ll write test protocols, resolve issues, and collaborate with peers. Proficiency in Java, TestNG, cloud testing, and web technologies like HTML, Selenium or Playwright is required. Work involves short-term tasks, independent judgment, and regular supervision within defined procedures. Integrate external tools, participate in strategic planning, and collaborate with eCommerce, engineering, security, and product teams to deliver on critical business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Test and evaluate in-house and third-party software to ensure compliance with organizational standards and requirements.
  • Create tests to ensure software meets user needs.
  • Create and maintain project test plans.
  • Define and track quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results, and test status.
  • Document all problems and assist in their resolution.
  • Perform QA efforts for large-scale Staple B2B2C eCommerce applications, ensuring alignment with organizational standards.
  • Refactor and review test scripts to enforce best coding practices across the QA team.
  • Track testing progress, communicate status updates, and escalate issues to leads and stakeholders.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for DotCom and SBA eCommerce platforms, supporting end-to-end integration testing.
  • Analyze software processes for improvement and integrate findings into business workflows.
  • Resolve moderately complex issues independently and escalate when needed.

 

 

 

 

Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with more than 5 years of proven QA experience.
  • Skilled in testing enterprise-level web applications, utilizing various QA tools and methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Java, Selenium, TestNG, Azure, and Object Model frameworks for enhancing automation infrastructure.
  • Proficient in developing and executing Java/Selenium automation scripts using TestNG, Selenium Grid, and cloud platforms.
  • Experienced in developing test automation scripts, with programming skills in at least one development language (preferably OO/Java/Python/Perl).

Demonstrated Quality Engineering automation experience using Selenium.

Other Requirements

Preferred Java or any other OOP language certifications.
