SDET Test Lead

Job Summary

The QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring that development changes match project requirements without detrimental impact on existing functionality.  This individual will work with developers, DevOps, and IT management to incorporate testing automation into development processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve existing development automations.
  • Recommend and implement new solutions in collaboration with IT management.
  • Work closely with product owners and stakeholders to understand application usage and project/task requirements
  • Convert use cases into test cases.
  • Collaborate with Developers, DevOps, and IT management to incorporate testing automation into the software development lifecycle.
  • Work with Development team members to continuously improve the development process.
  • Create knowledgebase documentation for solutions.

Skill Requirements

  • Ability to build automated acceptance and functional tests.
  • Proficiency with one or more programming languages including Javascript.  PHP proficiency preferred.
  • Proficiency with Secure Coding Best Practices.
  • Solid Understanding of unit testing concepts.
  • Ability and experience writing tests in one or more programming languages.
  • Knowledge of Docker.
  • Experience using git.
  • Ability to operate in a Linux environment.

 

Other Requirements

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION:

  • 3+ years in a QA engineering role or similar
  • Experience with UI testing tools such as Selenium (BrowserStack preferred), Cypress, or TestComplete.
  • Experience automating workflows using products such as Github Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, or AWS CodeDeploy.
  • Experience with orchestration using Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, or similar preferred.
  • Experience with NetSuite customization and/or deployment preferred.
  • Experience with AWS products preferred.

  • Timely completion of tasks.
  • Expanded automated test coverage.
  • Demonstrates understanding of Esquire job workflow
