Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior SAP ABAP Developer with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) experience to design, build, and support enterprise-grade solutions in an SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud environment. This role will focus on clean-core aligned enhancements, high-quality ABAP development, modern extensibility using BTP services, and integration patterns leveraging APIs, events, and SAP integration services. You will partner with functional teams, integration architects, and security/basis teams to deliver scalable, secure, and supportable solutions across critical business processes

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a Senior SAP ABAP Developer with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) experience to design, build, and support enterprise-grade solutions in an SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud environment. This role will focus on clean-core aligned enhancements, high-quality ABAP development, modern extensibility using BTP services, and integration patterns leveraging APIs, events, and SAP integration services. You will partner with functional teams, integration architects, and security/basis teams to deliver scalable, secure, and supportable solutions across critical business processes.

Skill Requirements

Strong command of Object-Oriented ABAP, enhancements (BAdIs, user exits), and modular design • Deep experience with S/4HANA data models and performance optimization • Ability to develop scalable, reusable, and high-performance code • Strong understanding of SAP Clean Core principles • Focus on using released APIs, events, and standard frameworks • Ability to challenge custom code and drive simplification/rationalization • Hands-on experience with SAP BTP services and architecture • Competence in: Side-by-side extension design (CAP, Node.js/Java, ABAP environment), Authentication (OAuth2, XSUAA, principal propagation), Destination and connectivity services • Strong integration knowledge across: IDoc, RFC, BAPI, Proxy, OData, REST/SOAP APIs • Experience working with SAP Integration Suite (CPI) and API-based architectures • Ability to design decoupled integrations using APIs and events • Strong troubleshooting capability across end-to-end flows • Ability to enable backend services for SAP Fiori/UI5 applications • Experience with: OData service development (Gateway / RAP), Understanding of UI integration patterns • Collaboration with UX/UI teams for full-stack delivery • Experience with modern SAP DevOps practices: CI/CD pipelines (gCTS, CTS+, etc.), Version control (Git-based workflows) • Strong discipline in: Code reviews, Transport management, Automated testing integration • Familiarity with tools like Cloud ALM, Jira, RevTrac • Deep expertise in diagnosing and resolving: Short dumps (ST22), SQL performance issues (ST05), Runtime analysis (SAT), Batch/job issues (SM37) • Solid understanding of SAP functional processes (SD, FI/CO, MM, etc.) • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions • Strong collaboration with functional leads, architects, and operations teams

Education & Certifications : • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field • SAP Certified Technology Associate – SAP S/4HANA • SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP BTP (preferred) • SAP Certified Development Associate – SAP S/4HANA Technical Skills: • SAPUI5, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 • OData, RESTful APIs • SAP Gateway, Business application Studio • S/4HANA, SAP ECC • SAP BTP, Cloud Foundry • Git, Jira, Agile methodologies
