Job Summary

The Azure Security Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security solutions within Microsoft Azure environments. This role focuses on safeguarding cloud-based assets, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and proactively identifying and mitigating security threats. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Azure security features, as well as experience with cloud architecture, governance, and regulatory compliance.\\\\r\\\\nKey Responsibilities\\\\r\\\\n• Design, deploy, and manage security controls and policies in Microsoft Azure.\\\\r\\\\n• Monitor Azure environments for security threats and respond to incidents promptly.\\\\r\\\\n• Implement and maintain identity and access management (IAM) solutions, including Azure Active Directory.\\\\r\\\\n• Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing.\\\\r\\\\n• Establish and enforce network security best practices, including firewalls, NSGs, and encryption.\\\\r\\\\n• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure application and infrastructure development.\\\\r\\\\n• Develop and maintain security documentation, policies, and procedures.\\\\r\\\\n• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, or ISO 27001.\\\\r\\\\n• Stay up to date with emerging Azure security technologies and threat intelligence.\\\\r\\\\n• Provide training and guidance to internal teams on cloud security best practices.\\\\r\\\\nRequired Qualifications\\\\r\\\\n• Bachelor’s degree Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).\\\\r\\\\n• 3+ years of experience in cloud security, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.\\\\r\\\\n• Strong knowledge of Azure security features, such as Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, and Azure Key Vault.\\\\r\\\\n• Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM templates, or Bicep).\\\\r\\\\n• Familiarity with cloud networking, firewalls, VPNs, and security monitoring tools.\\\\r\\\\n• Understanding of compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements.\\\\r\\\\n• Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate) are highly desirable.\\\\r\\\\n• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.\\\\r\\\\nPreferred Skills\\\\r\\\\n• Experience with multi-cloud security (e.g., AWS, GCP) in addition to Azure.\\\\r\\\\n• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.\\\\r\\\\n• Hands-on experience with incident response and digital forensics in cloud environments.\\\\r\\\\n• Ability to educate and influence stakeholders on security best practices.\\\\r\\\\nWorking Conditions\\\\r\\\\nThis role may require occasional on-call support for critical security incidents and participation in after-hours maintenance or response activities.
