Job Summary : Platform Engineering - Platform Engineer (SRE) Position summary The Platform Engineer (SRE) enables platform service and data product teams to build, test, deploy, and operate solutions efficiently and securely throughout the software development lifecycle. You are responsible for defining, implementing, and continuously improving platform-wide DevOps capabilities, CI/CD standards, infrastructure automation, release management, security best practices and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices. The position drives engineering excellence through reusable platform components, automation, security-by-design principles, and developer enablement. Strong experience with cloud platforms, automation frameworks, and modern DevOps toolchains is essential. Your role ▪ Implement and continuously improve platform-wide CI/CD standards, pipeline templates, reusable automation components, and deployment patterns including configuration as code. ▪ Follow standards and best practices for software development, testing, release management, versioning, code quality, and operational excellence. ▪ Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions and reusable cloud infrastructure modules. ▪ Conduct code reviews, and technical consultations to ensure adherence to platform standards. ▪ Evaluate emerging DevOps technologies and engage with strategic vendors to align platform capabilities with the Data & Analytics strategy. ▪ Collaborate with Cloud, Security, Network, and DevOps Centers of Excellence to deliver compliant and scalable platform services according to enterprise guidelines and controls ▪ Drive continuous improvement of the developer experience through self-service capabilities, automation, templates, and engineering enablement. ▪ Improve developer productivity through platform self-service capabilities, golden paths, scaffolding, and reusable engineering assets. ▪ Foster knowledge sharing within the platform engineering organization through communities of practice, technical trainings, demos, and mentoring activities. ▪ Contribute assets and best practices to the Platform Engineering team promoting engineering excellence. ▪ Promote and implement DevSecOps and SRE practices, including reliability engineering, observability, automation, and security-by-design principles. ▪ Establish and track service reliability objectives (SLIs/SLOs) in collaboration with product and engineering teams.
