As a Crystal Server Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting HCLTech’s ongoing analytics and reporting modernization initiatives. The Subject Matter Expert (Support & Ops) plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely and quality resolution of escalations and incidents within the organization. This position emphasizes efficient analysis in accordance with SLAs and quality standards, ultimately driving positive customer satisfaction. The expert will leverage their extensive knowledge of BEA WebLogic and WebSphere Application Server to guide teams, facilitate communication, and mentor colleagues, enhancing operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct preventive maintenance on Crystal Server environments to ensure optimal performance and reliability. - Apply minor patches and oversee major version upgrades for Crystal Server software. - Manage webserver upgrades associated with reporting and analytics platforms. - Provide immediate support for production issues, including break/fix, service restarts, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime. - Lead new projects involving Crystal Server installation, configuration, and initial setup. - Configure Active Directory (AD) for secure user authentication and access management. - Install and configure Oracle Client software to facilitate seamless database connectivity. - Execute first-time setup procedures for new reporting environments and support ongoing modernization projects.
1. Ensure Timely Resolution And Quality Compliance Of Escalated Incidents In Bea Weblogic And Websphere Application Server As Per Agreed Slas, Minimizing Downtime And Ensuring Service Continuity.
2. Mentor Support Staff And Administrators While Preparing Standard Operating Procedures (Sops) And Maintaining Comprehensive Documentation, Ensuring Knowledge Sharing Across The Team.
3. Validate Change Order Implementation Plans And Ensure Adherence To Human Error Compliance, Actively Participating In Capacity Planning To Align Resources With Operational Demands.
4. Participate In Customer Meetings To Address Issues And Gather Feedback, Fostering Positive Customer Relationships And Ensuring Satisfaction With Support Services.
5. Validate And Analyze Root Cause And Trend Analyses, Preparing Detailed Reports That Highlight Performance Metrics And Facilitate Discussions With Key Business Stakeholders.
Skill Requirements
Proven experience as a Crystal Server Administrator or similar role in enterprise environments. - Strong knowledge of Crystal Server installation, configuration, and maintenance. - Expertise in applying software patches and performing major version upgrades. - Hands-on experience with webserver management and upgrades. - Proficiency in troubleshooting production issues and implementing rapid solutions. - Experience with Active Directory (AD) configuration and management. - Familiarity with Oracle Client installation and database connectivity. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline. - Relevant certifications in Crystal Reports, server administration, or equivalent (preferred).
