Servicenow CMDB and Configuration Manager
Key Responsibilities
Manage End to End lifecycle of the CIs. Lifecyle management includes CI Creation, CI Updates and CI Decommission activities. Process workflows will be updated for Continuous Improvement activities, process audits, measurement, reporting and governance. • Maintain an effective Configuration Management Database (CMDB) • Agreed attributes (manual vs discoverable) • Relationship between Business process/services with CI’s (on the business services/ processes agreed in design phase) • Own and maintain (Yearly update) Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the process. Own & Maintain (Yearly • update) operational runbook. • Random data audit to check the completeness of data. • Manage Data Audit & Governance processes to ensure Data integrity & accuracy are maintained. • Prepare Regular Reporting on Configuration Management KPIs & measurement. • Review reports on Configuration • Management KPIs & measurement. • Host below monthly stakeholders meeting on CMDB Data quality & governance. • Connect with Tools SMEs (Discovery, Integrated data sources) - Weekly. • Process connects with ITSM Process Managers – Monthly • CMDB Dashboard & Status Review with Stakeholders – Monthly. • Own and plan continual process improvements for Configuration Management process as per Industry standards.
