Job Summary

This role is a part of RF360 Engineering Apps portfolio. Engineering Apps portfolio is an umbrella program that focusses on Yield & Manufacturing oriented applications as well as Dat Analytics, and other inter-connected 3rd Party solutions. The APL Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining application lifecycle processes within RF360 Qualcomm’s IT environment. This role involves ensuring system stability, security, and performance across Linux-based platforms and SQL databases, supporting critical RF360 applications and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

 Key Responsibilities: Manage Linux servers, including installation, configuration, patching, and performance tuning. Monitor system health and troubleshoot issues proactively. Database Management: Administer SQL databases, ensuring optimal performance, backup, and recovery. Implement database security and compliance standards. Application Lifecycle Management: Oversee deployment, upgrades, and maintenance of RF360 applications. Coordinate with development and operations teams for smooth releases. Security & Compliance: Apply security best practices for Linux and SQL environments. Ensure adherence to Qualcomm’s IT governance and compliance policies. Automation & Optimization: Develop scripts for automation of routine tasks. Optimize system and database performance for high availability. Incident & Change Management: Respond to alerts and resolve incidents within SLA. Document changes and maintain accurate configuration records.

Skill Requirements

8 –10 years minimum in IT administration with strong expertise in SQL and Linux systems. Strong hands-on experience with Linux administration (Red Hat, CentOS, or similar). Proficiency in SQL database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL Server). Knowledge of shell scripting and automation tools. Familiarity with ITIL processes for incident, change, and problem management. Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills. Ability to work in a global team environment and manage critical systems under pressure.

Other Requirements

Preferred Qualifications Exposure to RF360 or semiconductor manufacturing systems. Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, Nagios). Knowledge of SAP Basis or related enterprise applications. Education - Required BE degree in Engineering Education - Preferred Masters Preferred
