Job Summary

Db2 Database Engineer (Cloud / Hybrid)\\\\r\\\\nRole purpose\\\\r\\\\n\\\\r\\\\nSupport the operation and migration of IBM Db2 databases in a hybrid environment, contributing to the broader VMware exit and cloud migration strategy.\\\\r\\\\n\\\\r\\\\nKey responsibilities\\\\r\\\\n\\\\r\\\\nSupport Db2 databases in on‑prem and cloud‑target environments\\\\r\\\\nParticipate in migration planning and execution related to cloud initiatives\\\\r\\\\nPerform database administration tasks, upgrades, and maintenance\\\\r\\\\nTroubleshoot incidents and performance issues\\\\r\\\\nSupport compliance, risk, and audit requirements\\\\r\\\\nCollaborate closely with platform, cloud, and application teams\\\\r\\\\nMaintain documentation and operational runbooks\\\\r\\\\nRequired skills and experience\\\\r\\\\n\\\\r\\\\nHands‑on experience as a Db2 DBA / Database Engineer\\\\r\\\\nStrong knowledge of Db2 on Linux/Unix platforms\\\\r\\\\nExperience in enterprise Db2 environments\\\\r\\\\nExposure to cloud or hybrid deployments (Google Cloud preferred)\\\\r\\\\nExperience supporting critical systems in regulated environments\\\\r\\\\nNice to have\\\\r\\\\n\\\\r\\\\nExperience with database modernization or migration programs\\\\r\\\\nAutomation or scripting experience\\\\r\\\\nKnowledge of cloud networking and security fundamentals

Key Responsibilities

Skill Requirements

Hands‑on experience as a Db2 DBA / Database Engineer Strong knowledge of Db2 on Linux/Unix platforms Experience in enterprise Db2 environments Exposure to cloud or hybrid deployments (Google Cloud preferred) Experience supporting critical systems in regulated environments Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to work in distributed (nearshore/offshore) teams Comfortable working in structured governance and compliance frameworks Hands‑on, delivery‑oriented mindset
