Job Summary

The Senior NetApp Storage Administrator (L3) designs, implements, and maintains global enterprise storage infrastructure. This role provides expert-level engineering support, ensures high availability, and drives automation for NetApp ONTAP systems and AWS FSx

Key Responsibilities

 Architecture & Engineering: Design and deploy multi-cluster NetApp AFF/FAS environments. Protocol Management: Optimize performance for SAN (FC, iSCSI) and NAS (NFS, CIFS) protocols. Disaster Recovery: Implement and test SnapMirror, SnapVault, and MetroCluster strategies. Capacity Planning: Predict growth trends and manage storage lifecycle upgrades. Automation: Create Ansible playbooks or Python scripts to automate provisioning tasks .Performance Tuning: Troubleshoot complex latency and IOPS bottlenecks using Active IQ Unified Manager. Security & Compliance: Enforce NetApp volume encryption (NVE) and ransomware protection policies. Escalation Support: Serve as the highest technical tier for critical storage outages (24/7).

Skill Requirements

OS Expertise: Advanced knowledge of NetApp ONTAP 9.x architectures. Cloud Integration: Experience with NetApp Cloud Volumes ONTAP (CVO) in AWS, Azure, or GCP.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in India, requiring hands-on data center management.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitecture & Engineering: Design and deploy multi-cluster NetApp AFF/FAS environments.On-Site Operations: Manage physical data center deployment, hardware racking, stacking, and cabling.Protocol Management: Optimize performance for SAN (FC, iSCSI) and NAS (NFS, CIFS) protocols.Disaster Recovery: Implement and test SnapMirror, SnapVault, and MetroCluster strategies.Capacity Planning: Predict growth trends and manage storage lifecycle upgrades.Automation: Create Ansible playbooks or Python scripts to automate provisioning tasks.Performance Tuning: Troubleshoot complex latency and IOPS bottlenecks using Active IQ Unified Manager.Security & Compliance: Enforce NetApp volume encryption (NVE) and ransomware protection policies.Escalation Support: Serve as the highest technical tier for critical storage outages (24/7).Required QualificationsExperience: Minimum 7+ years of dedicated NetApp storage administration experience.Location requirement: Ability to work 100% on-site at our India office/data center.OS Expertise: Advanced knowledge of NetApp ONTAP 9.x architectures.Certifications: NCDA (NetApp Certified Data Administrator) or NCIE (NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer).Cloud Integration: Experience with NetApp Cloud Volumes ONTAP (CVO) in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
