Job Summary

Assess and support migration of 13 in-scope Microsoft SQL Server databases plus the Veeam database, coordinating platform-level validation and dependencies.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory SQL versions, instances, services, storage, dependencies, linked servers, connection strings, jobs and hardcoded IP references. • Validate Windows Authentication and service-account rights; confirm SQL Browser and required ports where named instances are used. • Ensure TDE certificates/keys and required backup/recovery information are available; coordinate relocation of local native backups. • Support M2VM-based server migration, SQL service startup, connectivity and platform-level checks. • Document database prerequisites, risks, issues, validation results and handover procedures; application testing remains Barnes Aerospace responsibility.

Microsoft SQL Server administration • Windows Authentication, service accounts and SQL networking • TDE certificate/key handling • SQL migration readiness and troubleshooting • High availability / FCI dependency assessment
