Job Summary
Microsoft SQL Server Administration (Primary Skill): Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments (2016/2019/2022). Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement performance tuning solutions. Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes. Configure and support High Availability solutions including: Always On Availability Groups Failover Cluster Instances (FCI) Log Shipping Replication Perform database capacity planning, storage management, and growth forecasting. Implement security standards including user access management, encryption, auditing, and compliance requirements. Troubleshoot database issues, incidents, and production outages with minimal business impact. Develop and maintain SQL scripts, automation jobs, and maintenance plans. Support database migration, refresh, and upgrade projects. Work with application teams to optimize database design and query performance. Microsoft Azure Database Administration (Secondary Skill): Manage and support Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and Azure Virtual Machines hosting SQL Server. Perform cloud database migration using Azure Database Migration Service (DMS). Configure and monitor Azure backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions. Implement Azure monitoring and performance optimization using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
