Job Summary
Job Title: Product/Portfolio Analyst
Job Grade: JG 3-5
Job Description: The Product/Portfolio Analyst is responsible to support the Product Manager or Portfolio Manager with managing the lifecycle of the Product or the portfolio of applications, where the portfolio is of such as size that it requires additional support. Responsibilities include maintaining data integrity and quality in the relevant IT portfolio management systems (ITBM, ServiceNow, etc.), maintaining the demand funnel, maintaining the integrated plan, reporting on portfolio data and supporting project initiation activities.
Responsibilities:
• Provide support to the Product Manager or Application Portfolio Manager with managing corresponding lifecycles.
• Ensure data integrity and quality of the product/portfolio in the relevant IT management systems.
• Maintain the demand funnel for the product/portfolio.
• Maintain the integrated plan/roadmap (0-3 years) for the product/portfolio.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to help identify key events or decision points for the product/portfolio (i.e. major upgrades, architecture drivers, end of life, contract extensions, etc.).
• Support and perform initiation activities.
• Provide regular and ad hoc data and reports on the product/portfolio to stakeholders.
• Supporting and facilitating product/portfolio reviews and other delivery related
meetings
Requirements:
For a high complexity portfolio with several BV applications, with an IT budget of greater than
$20M and with a Product/Portfolio Manager of JG1-2, the Product/Portfolio Analyst requires 4+
years in IT with at least 2 years of business analysis experience.
For medium complexity portfolio, with an IT budget of $10M-20M and with a Product/Portfolio
Manager of JG2-3, the Application Portfolio Analyst requires 2+ years in IT with at least 1 year of
business analysis experience.
For a low complexity portfolio, with and IT budget of less than $10M and a Product/Portfolio
Manager of JG3-4 the Product/Portfolio Analyst can be of entry level.
