Job Summary

UNIX/Linux Administrator Role Summary: We are looking for a skilled L2+ Linux Administrator with hands-on cloud experience to manage, troubleshoot, and optimize Linux-based systems in a cloud environment. The role involves advanced support, incident resolution, and system reliability improvement. Key Responsibilities: • Provide L2/L3 support for Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.) • Troubleshoot performance, availability, and system issues • Manage user access, file systems, services, and processes • Perform patching, upgrades, and security hardening • Monitor system health using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, etc. • Work on cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) – provisioning, scaling, and troubleshooting • Handle incidents, problem management, and RCA documentation • Automate routine tasks using shell scripting (Bash/Python preferred) • Support backup, recovery, and DR activities • Collaborate with application, network, and security teams Required Skills: • Strong Linux administration (L2/L3 level) • Good knowledge of system internals (CPU, memory, disk, networking) • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) • Hands-on with SSH, cron jobs, package management (yum/apt) • Basic networking knowledge (DNS, TCP/IP, firewall) • Scripting (Bash mandatory, Python is a plus) • Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) is a plus • Familiarity with DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible – nice to have) Soft Skills: • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills • Good communication and documentation skills • Ability to work in high-pressure environments Certifications (Preferred): • RHCSA / RHCE • AWS/Azure certifications • Solaris Experience
