ob Responsibilities : SME is responsible for Incident, Change, Problem, Knowledge, Availability and Capacity Management for Linux operating system. Manage L2/L3 production/project support activities. This also includes the initial installation or update, patching, migration for these platforms Responsible for script development/ update in different scripting (Shell and Perl). Excellent communication and facilitation skills Exposure in other OS like HP-UX, Solaris, AIX etc. is an advantage. Experience or familiar on tools like ticketing and monitoring tools. Responsible for coaching and mentoring the team members. Willingness to work on flexible working hours including weekends. Involved in Routine Operational support and troubleshooting.

Skill Requirements
kill Requirement : Should have at least 6-8 plus years’ experience in Monitoring and L2/L3 Incident & Change Management. Should be experienced in working in ITIL based tools Expert level experience in Linux and its related sub-components. Should have experience in file-system management of all three OS, especially: o Create and manage filesystems o Create and manage logical volumes o Create and manage volume groups o Manage physical and virtual devices o Maintenance and management of Hardware RAID o Manage storage devices including redundancy (Linux Multipathing), configure tape drives etc.. o Understand storage area networks and the representation in the operating system to be able to define and debug LUN integration into the operating system Should have experience in hardware troubleshooting of all three OS including how to open vendor calls and collect usually required information (e.g. snap, AHS, system explorer, etc) Should have experience in system and network management and security, especially: o Configure network devices (including Ether channel, IPv4, and IPv6) o Troubleshoot network issues o Configure TCP/IP, with and without VLAN support o Configure and manage remote access including ssh and ssl configuration o Understand system hardening procedures Unix / Linux OS management, support and troubleshooting Clustering knowledge, PCS of Linux Should have knowledge of DNS, NIS, Proxy and LDAP Should have knowledge of shell scripting.

Other Requirement : Background: The candidate should be degree educated and needs to have at least 6-8 plus years solid experience of Linux Operating System. Added advantage to German Speaking candidates Certification on Linux is an added advantage
