Job Summary : Job Description: UNIX Systems Administrator\r\nThe In-house UNIX Operations team is searching for a candidate who is proficient within a LINUX (SuSe, Red Hat and OEL) and UNIX (Solaris and AIX) environment. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience within systems administration, along with knowledge of physical infrastructure and hardware such as HP ProLiant DL380/580 G7/8/9/10), and Sun/Oracle M-Series. This candidate will provide UNIX support for the Global UNIX estate of around 6,000 servers. We are looking for a good communicator and a problem solving individual. Responsibility will encompass both operational support of the UNIX estate, system maintenance (OS patching), and storage migration and build and provisioning work where necessary. \r\n
Job Description : Job Requirements - Essential \\\\r\\\\n• 7+ years of experience with Linux (Red Hat, SuSe, OEL) and Unix (Solaris and AIX) \\\\r\\\\n• 7+ years of experience with systems administration: upgrades, patching and configuration management, performance management, troubleshooting, analysis and capacity planning. \\\\r\\\\n• 7+ years of experience with VERITAS products (VCS and Volume management) on Solaris \\\\r\\\\n• Automation Tools: BMC BladeLogic Server Automation for server’s OS patching\\\\r\\\\n• VMWare vSphere Client 5.5 for accessing the VMWare Virtual Server\\\\r\\\\n• Experience of working with EMC SRDF storage on Solaris and LINUX, with skill set to cover other storage technologies. \\\\r\\\\n• Strong skills in TCP/IP Networking & advanced systems tuning, network topology and firewalled environments. \\\\r\\\\n• Full understanding the principles of routing, client/server programming, the design of consistent network-wide file system layout, Ethernet, bonding, PCIe Technologies. \\\\r\\\\n• Experience installing layered products in a timely fashion, analyzing & troubleshooting complex systems and familiarity with ITSM procedures. \\\\r\\\\n• Strong problem solving skills with ability to work in a highly pressurized multitask environment \\\\r\\\\n• Experience in Perl and Shell scripting writing scripts to automate various tasks. \\\\r\\\\nJob Requirements – Highly desirable \\\\r\\\\n• Knowledge on build and provisioning work\\\\r\\\\n
