1. Role Introduction
HCLTech is looking for a dynamic Product Security Engineer / Product Cybersecurity Lead to strengthen product-related cybersecurity initiatives across engineering and product teams.
The role will partner with development organizations to embed security-by-design practices, improve product security posture, drive awareness, and support secure engineering decision-making across global teams.
This position will work closely with engineering and product stakeholders across the US, Hungary, and India, enabling proactive identification and remediation of security threats, vulnerabilities, and gaps throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities

- Ensuring and driving product related security activities.
- Increase product security awareness within the development team.
- Analyzing, tracking and following product related threats, vulnerabilities, security gaps and desired solutions.
- Maintain cyber security processes and monitoring systems/tools.
- Support the development teams through security analyses and threat modelling.
- Interact with worldwide engineering and product teams (US, Hungary, India).
Skill Requirements
3. Qualifications / Requirements
- Experience analyzing, detecting and remediating cybersecurity issues.
- Experience in security, network, system administration, development, or equivalent knowledge.
- In-depth knowledge of various operating systems (Linux, Windows).
- Practical hands-on experience in a complex system development environment.
- Strong product security knowledge and mindset (STIG, vulnerabilities, CVE tracking, security gap analysis).
- Ability to analyze and evaluate the impact of changes, defects, and different technology choices.
- Good English communication skills.
