SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) Technical Specialist

Job Summary
The Technical Specialist (SQL Server Analysis Services) at HCL will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of SSAS solutions. The primary goal is to optimize data analysis and reporting processes for efficient decision-making within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into ssas solutions.
2. Design and develop ssas cubes, dimensions, and measures based on business needs.
3. Optimize ssas models for improved query performance and data accessibility.
4. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ssas solutions and data discrepancies.
5. Implement security measures to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
6. Provide technical support and guidance to end-users on ssas functionalities.
7. Stay updated on the latest ssas features and recommend enhancements for existing systems.

Skill Requirements
1. Proficiency in sql server analysis services (ssas) including tabular model and multidimensional model.
2. Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and etl processes.
3. Experience in optimizing ssas cubes for performance enhancements.
4. Ability to write complex mdx and dax queries for data analysis.
5. Familiarity with data visualization tools such as power bi or tableau.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross functional teams.
