Senior Salesforce Data 360 (Data Cloud) Developer Role Overview The Senior Salesforce Data 360 (Data Cloud) Developer leads the design, development, and scaling of enterprise Salesforce Data Cloud solutions to deliver a unified, real‑time view of customers across a global retail ecosystem. This role is critical to powering omnichannel personalization, loyalty, analytics, and customer engagement across digital, in‑store, and partner touch points. You will partner closely with Salesforce Architects, Commerce, Marketing, Loyalty, Analytics, and Data Engineering teams to unify high‑volume customer, transaction, product, and behavioral data across regions, and channels. Key Responsibilities Data Cloud Solution Design & Development Design, develop, and optimize Salesforce Data Cloud (Data 360) implementations at global retail scale Build and manage: Batch and streaming Data Streams Data Lake Objects (DLOs) for large‑scale ingestion Data Model Objects (DMOs) aligned to Customer 360 and retail use cases Normalize and harmonize data across regions, brands, channels, and languages Ensure performance, resiliency, and scalability during peak retail periods and promotional events Retail Data Integration & Engineering Ingest and unify data from: Salesforce Commerce Cloud (B2C/B2B) POS and in‑store systems Loyalty and rewards platforms Mobile apps and digital touch points Marketing Cloud Engagement and Personalization External systems (Snowflake, AWS, GCP, Azure, APIs, SFTP) Implement scalable ETL/ELT patterns for transactional and behavioral data Support near‑real‑time ingestion for purchases, returns, product views, and offers Collaborate with enterprise data teams to align Data Cloud with centralized data platforms Identity Resolution & Customer Unification Architect and configure advanced Identity Resolution strategies Support identity across email, phone, loyalty IDs, device IDs, cookies, and in‑store identifiers Enable retailer‑specific models such as: Anonymous‑to‑known resolution Household and family‑level profiles Cross‑brand and cross‑region identities Optimize deterministic and probabilistic match rules for accuracy and scale Calculated Insights, Segmentation & Analytics Build advanced Calculated Insights using SQL to support retail KPIs such as: Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) Purchase frequency, recency, and monetary value Brand/category affinity Promotion responsiveness and churn risk Develop reusable audience logic for: Loyalty tiers First‑time vs repeat buyers High‑value and at‑risk customers Partner with Analytics teams to expose Data Cloud data to CRM Analytics, Tableau, and enterprise BI tools Data Activation & Omnichannel Personalization Activate unified profiles to: Marketing Cloud Engagement (email, SMS, push) Marketing Cloud Personalization (web and mobile) Salesforce Service Cloud Commerce platforms and external activation partners Enable real‑time personalization, targeting, and offer decisioning Support cross‑channel journey orchestration across digital and physical retail experiences Governance, Privacy & Global Compliance Implement enterprise data governance standards, including: Consent and preference management PII handling, masking, and minimization Data retention and deletion policies Ensure compliance with global data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, and local market laws) Support region‑specific data residency, access controls, and compliance requirements Technical Leadership & Collaboration Serve as a Salesforce Data Cloud Subject Matter Expert for global retail initiatives Mentor developers and establish development standards and best practices Participate in solution design and architecture reviews Collaborate across global, matrixed teams including Marketing, Commerce, Loyalty, IT, and Data Required Qualifications 5+ years of Salesforce platform experience 2+ years of hands‑on experience with Salesforce Data Cloud (Data 360) Deep expertise in: Da
