Selenium Test Lead - Cucumber, Java

Job Summary

Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web, mobile and API testing using tools such as WebdriverIO, Appium and Gen AI tools

•       Build and maintain API test suites using tools -Postman/Newman to validate request/response contracts, authentication, and error handling

•       Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) to enable continuous testing and fast feedback loops

•       Collaborate with product owners and developers to review requirements and define acceptance criteria for new features

•       Develop reusable test components and page object models to improve test maintainability and scalability

•       Conduct cross-browser and cross-device compatibility testing to ensure consistent user experience Automation Testing

•       Develop and Execute manual test cases for end-to-end scenarios as required covering feature functionality, regression, and exploratory testing

•       Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Jira, ensuring clear reproduction steps and priority classification

•       Analyze test execution results, triage failures, and provide clear reporting on test coverage and defect trends.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and coordinate all testing activities for cucumber, selenium, and java projects
2. Develop test strategies, plans, and scripts for effective testing of software applications
3. Execute test cases, identify defects, and track them to closure
4. Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software
5. Mentor and train team members on testing best practices and automation tools
6. Continuously improve testing processes and strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

Skill Requirements

1. Proficient in using cucumber, selenium, and java for test automation
2. Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices
3. Ability to develop and execute test cases, scripts, and scenarios
4. Experience in leading testing activities and managing cross functional teams
5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with stakeholders
6. Detail oriented with strong problem-solving abilities

Other Requirements

1.ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) or Advanced Level (CTAL) certification is preferred
