Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Senior Machinist to support our core engineering services. 

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricating parts with CNC mills, CNC lathes, CNC routers, manual machine equipment, lasers, 3D Printers and waterjets.
• Capable of producing parts with -- in some cases ±0.020mm or tighter -- critical tolerances.
• Read schematics, diagrams, and technical drawings to determine methods of manufacturing and assembly.
• Recognize the need and develop, design and build appropriate tooling and fixtures.
• Gather and prepare tools and materials required to complete projects.
• Capable of managing multiple concurrent projects on tight timelines.
• Maintain machine shop and fabrication equipment.
• Proactively maintain supplies of hardware components, equipment, etc. to Google’s expectations.  Highlight all potential shortages and proactively work to ensure minimal interruption.
• Assembly of precision electro/mechanical systems including tight tolerance mechanical assemblies.
• Align, fit, and assemble component parts, using hand tools, power tools, fixtures and appropriate shop tools.
• Cover all aspects of a project's requirements from conceptual design, 3D CAD, drafting, fabrication to assembly.
• Have a firm understanding of a variety of materials and their properties.
• Utilize this knowledge to make informed decisions on materials to use for components.
