Job Summary
Job Summary : Execute AIX patching, NIM operations, vulnerability remediation and automation activities safely and consistently within enterprise change controls.
Job Responsibilities : • Perform AIX pre-checks, backups, patch deployment, reboot, validation, evidence capture and closure updates. • Operate NIM workflows and support mksysb, lpp_source, spot and client maintenance activities. • Troubleshoot common AIX, filesystem, LVM, network and service issues related to patching. • Use Shell and Ansible automation for repeatable operational tasks and reporting. • Follow approved implementation and rollback procedures and maintain accurate technical records. • Communicate progress, risks and blockers promptly and escalate complex issues with diagnostics.
Job Description : • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.\\\\r\\\\n• IBM AIX or ITIL certification\\\\r\\\\n• Enterprise production-support experience\\\\r\\\\n

Skill Requirement : • AIX administration, patching, TL/SP concepts and troubleshooting • NIM operations, mksysb and recovery fundamentals • LVM, filesystems, networking, services and basic PowerVM/VIOS awareness • Shell scripting and working knowledge of Ansible • Security hardening and vulnerability-remediation processes • ServiceNow/change-management and evidence handling

Other Requirement : • Clear written and spoken English for customer updates and handovers • Strong documentation, teamwork, ownership and escalation discipline • Ability to work during planned maintenance windows and coordinate across towers
