- Telecom Expense Management (TEM):
Manage end-to-end telecom billing, reconciliation, and expense analysis across global ISPs and mobile operators. - ISP & Mobile Operator Billing Expertise:
Understand global billing structures, taxes, surcharges, discounts, SLAs, and contracting models across ISPs and mobile carriers (e.g., data, voice, roaming, dedicated internet, MPLS, SD‑WAN, IoT connectivity). - Invoice Validation & Financial Controls:
Analyze, validate, and approve telecom invoices ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with contractual terms. - Global Vendor Coordination:
Work directly with international ISPs and mobile operators across regions—North America, Europe, APAC—to resolve billing disputes, clarify charges, and optimize telecom spend. - Financial Analysis & Reporting:
Prepare regular spend analysis, cost-reduction insights, variance reports, and forecasting to support leadership and finance teams. - Contract & SLA Review Support:
Assist in reviewing global telecom agreements, rate cards, SLAs, and renewal terms to ensure financial efficiency and compliance. - Process Optimization:
Recommend and implement improvements to telecom billing workflows, data integrity, and financial tracking mechanisms. - Cross‑Functional Collaboration:
Partner with IT, Finance, Procurement, and Operations to ensure accurate budgeting, service inventory tracking, and operational alignment.
Skill Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience in telecom expense management or global ISP/mobile operator billing.
- Strong understanding of global telecom billing practices, including data/voice billing, usage-based models, cross‑border telecom taxation, and enterprise connectivity services.
- Hands-on experience interacting with global telecom operators and ISPs such as AT&T, Verizon, BT, Vodafone, Orange, Singtel, etc.
- Solid financial acumen, including invoice management, budgeting, cost allocation, and variance analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with strong Excel/financial modeling skills.
- Experience working with TEM tools (e.g., Tangoe, Calero, Sakon, Tellennium) is a plus.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to work effectively with global vendors.
- Ability to independently manage tasks in a fast-paced, multi-time-zone environment.
- Must be comfortable working evening hours (India time) to collaborate with Europe & US regions.
Other Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Telecommunications, or related field.
- Certifications or exposure in telecom billing, procurement, or financial operations.
- Experience in enterprise network environments (e.g., MPLS, SD‑WAN, cloud connectivity).
Work Schedule
- Evening India shift to provide optimal coverage across India, US, and Europe time zones.
- Flexibility to adjust hours as needed for critical meetings or vendor coordination.
