Job Summary

Network Engineer (Cisco ACI & Nexus Specialist)

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and process-oriented Network Engineer with strong expertise in Cisco ACI, Cisco Nexus platform, and advanced Routing & Switching. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in Data Center LAN technologies, be comfortable leading and executing complex change activities—often scheduled during weekends—and possess strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Key Responsibilities

· Design, implement, and support Cisco ACI fabric architectures, including APIC configuration, policy creation, and day-to-day operations.

· Administer and troubleshoot Cisco Nexus (5k/7k/9k) platforms, including VDCs, VPC configuration, and fabric extension technologies.

· Manage and optimize data center network infrastructure, including DC LAN switching and routing environments.

· Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Layer 3 routing protocols including:

o EIGRP

o OSPF

o BGP

· Support high-availability technologies such as:

o HSRP

o VPC

· Implement and troubleshoot IPsec tunnels and related security configurations.

· Participate in and lead weekend change windows, performing migrations, upgrades, and maintenance activities.

· Follow standardized processes and contribute to continuous improvement of operational workflows and documentation.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network stability, performance, and security.

Skill Requirements

· 5+ years of hands-on experience in large-scale enterprise or data center network environments.

· Strong expertise in Cisco ACI and APIC administration.

· In-depth knowledge of Cisco Nexus switches (7k/9k) and related data center technologies.

· Solid understanding and practical experience with Routing & Switching concepts and protocols.

· Demonstrated experience with EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, IPsec, and HSRP.

· Experience with VPC design, deployment, and troubleshooting.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

· Ability and willingness to work during weekend maintenance windows.

· Strong communication, documentation, and process-driven mindset.

Other Requirements

 

Preferred Qualifications

· Cisco certifications such as CCNP, CCIE (DC/RS), or relevant ACI certifications.

· Experience with automation tools (Python, Ansible) is a plus.

· Knowledge of virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and multi-cloud networking is an advantage.
