Job Summary

The responsibilities of a vendor manager in telecom include1 • Interacting with vendors concerning any concerns • Building and maintaining good relationships with already approved old and new vendors • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with existing telecom systems • Provide technical support to customers and internal teams • Stay up-to-date with advancements in telecom technology and recommend upgrades where necessary • Prepare technical documentation for telecom systems • Test and validate new telecom equipment and software releases • Provide training and guidance to junior members of the team • Researching new vendors based on price and quality and selecting them based on the vendor management plan • Communicating with the vendors and performing the quality check, dealing with the price and improvements • Establishing standards and analyzing based on them • Developing and sustaining long-standing relationships with company-approved vendors • Meeting with suitable vendors to assess their products, inquire about their services, negotiate pricing, and communicate any product or service-related concerns • Conducting research on available vendors to determine which vendors offer the best pricing and product quality • Resolve vendor-related issues, disputes, and contract discrepancies. • Collaborate with key stakeholders to forecast demand and ensure supply consistency. Requirements and Skills • Proven experience as a Vendor Manager or similar role in supply chain management. • Familiarity with market research, data analysis, and forecasting techniques. • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented mindset. • Superb communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Minimum Salary (US):  54000

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
