Job Summary
Operations Management:Responsible for analyzing software asset/license data, ensuring any variances flagged up on exception reports are investigated and action taken within agreed timescales. Responsible for accurate data analysis related to Software Assets of the organization and timely action to the organizational monitoring and control. This role provides on the ground, day to day analysis and support, i.e. 1. Collaborate with Product Manager and other stakeholders to understand the software needs and ensure they are adequately met. 2. Daily operational SAM activities including tracking of s/w license procured Vs deployment summary reports, license compliance monitoring. 3. Carry out software asset management processes, including detailed analytics of contracts, usage and deployment data, forecast and budgets. 4. Strong license knowledge on Microsoft, IBM & Oracle licensing and manage Business software licensing management. 5. Internal stakeholder co-ordination relating to missing details. 6. Be responsible to produce timely agreed KPI’s / Management Dashboard and strive well to achieve the agreed target level. 7. Be on lookout for improvement opportunity to design/develop automation, simplification in order to optimize. 8. Manage request queue/tickets and meet the agreed upon SLA’s. 9. Co-ordinating with relevant stakeholders related to license deployed/consumption activities. 10. Competency in creating ELP compliance reports and maintaining its quality 11. Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and updating documentation 12. Must have knowledge on Maintenance/Subscription Renewal, Purchase Request and procurement process. 13. Accountability and ownership of conducting governance and incorporating SAM standards and policies 14. Manage and control IT Risk and contribute to cost reduction initiatives. 15. Work with Procurement teams, Publisher reps and license managers. 16. Refine, maintain and adhere to policies, processes and best practices to enable appropriate management of IT Assets with respect to risk, cost and compliance. 17. Ensuring adherence to legal and statutory requirements of IT assets usage 18. Ensure optimal utilization of software assets 19. Management of internal S/W transfers and usage 20. Review and validation of S/W request from availability and IT infrastructure perspective 21. Provide advice and coordinate with BLs’ SPOCs on their software requirement 22. Investigation and clarification with the software publishers on contracts and license policy 23. Knowledge of AI tools like copilot to achieve automation and acceleration in BAU activities 24. Responsible for periodic review and control procedures to ensure process compliance 25. Ensure contracts with vendors are maintained, tracked and renewed on time 26. Good understanding of discovery and inventory tools like SCCM, ILMT, INTUNE Profile Bachelor’s degree (BE / B.Tech, B.Sc) or 3 year technical Diploma with 3 to 5 years of Software Asset Management experience. Knowledge of ServiceNow (SAM Pro), ILMT. Basics of Flexera tool skill is added advantage. • Good Knowledge on Microsoft licensing • Basic knowledge on IBM & Oracle licensing … etc., including business software licenses. • KPI management and tracking • License compliance Management • Good hands-on experience in advanced excel · Able to confidently present SAM reports · Ability to work independently · Good stakeholder management skill
