Job Summary

The L2 Acronis Backup Administrator will manage and support enterprise backup and recovery operations using Acronis solutions. The role involves monitoring backups, troubleshooting failures, performing restores, and coordinating with infrastructure, application, and vendor teams to ensure data protection and service continuity.                  Job Description: L2 Acronis Backup Administrator\\\\r\\\\nRole: L2 Acronis Backup Administrator\\\\r\\\\nLocation: As per business requirement\\\\r\\\\nEmployment Type: Full-time\\\\r\\\\nRole Summary\\\\r\\\\nThe L2 Acronis Backup Administrator will manage and support enterprise backup and recovery operations using Acronis solutions. The role involves monitoring backups, troubleshooting failures, performing restores, and coordinating with infrastructure, application, and vendor teams to ensure data protection and service continuity.\\\\r\\\\n• Monitor daily backup jobs, alerts, replication status, and backup infrastructure health.\\\\r\\\\n• Troubleshoot Acronis backup failures, agent issues, storage errors, connectivity problems, and restore failures.\\\\r\\\\n• Perform file-level, system-level, and application-level restores as per approved requests.\\\\r\\\\n• Manage backup policies, schedules, retention, agents, repositories, and storage capacity.\\\\r\\\\n• Support backup configuration for physical servers, virtual machines, endpoints, and cloud workloads.\\\\r\\\\n• Coordinate with L1, L3, infrastructure, application, and vendor teams for issue resolution.\\\\r\\\\n• Maintain SOPs, reports, ticket updates, and operational documentation.\\\\r\\\\n• Support incident, change, problem management, DR drills, and compliance activities.\\\\r\\\\nKey Responsibilities\\\\r\\\\n• Experience in backup administration or infrastructure support.\\\\r\\\\n• Hands-on experience with Acronis Cyber Protect, VEEAM or similar backup platforms.\\\\r\\\\n• Good understanding of backup types, restore methods, retention, and recovery testing.\\\\r\\\\n• Knowledge of Windows Server, basic Linux/Unix, VMware/Hyper-V, storage, and networking concepts.\\\\r\\\\n• Experience with ITSM tools and ITIL-based incident, change, and problem management.\\\\r\\\\n• Ability to analyze logs, identify root causes, and provide clear technical updates.\\\\r\\\\nEducational Qualification\\\\r\\\\nBachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related technical field. Equivalent relevant work experience may also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Experience in backup administration or infrastructure support. • Hands-on experience with Acronis Cyber Protect, VEEAM or similar backup platforms. • Good understanding of backup types, restore methods, retention, and recovery testing. • Knowledge of Windows Server, basic Linux/Unix, VMware/Hyper-V, storage, and networking concepts. • Experience with ITSM tools and ITIL-based incident, change, and problem management. • Ability to analyze logs, identify root causes, and provide clear technical updates.

Experience in Acronis and Veeam backup Experience in windows and Linux

Other Requirements

Experience with storage systems, data protection, and deduplication technologies Familiarity with cloud-based backup and recovery solutions Troubleshooting experience in Windows desktop environments (Windows 10/11 Monitor backup operations, troubleshoot failures, and ensure service levels are met Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and reports Basic scripting or automation skills Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities Effective communication and collaboration skills
