Job Summary

Purpose of Role

•    To understand complex actuarial calculations coded in Legacy systems or Excel models 
•    To perform actuarial calculations for Surrender, Maturity, Death, Projection and Review requests 
•    To carry out testing of calculations built in Excel models, present the results, identify errors, improve models   
•    Work closely with the Team Lead and complete assigned tasks well in time to achieve SLAs  
•    Training junior team members on actuarial calculations 
•    To drive efficiency and process improvements in the team 

Key Responsibilities

Key Task and Responsibilities
•    To deliver accurate and compliant actuarial support to Operations and external clients to achieve and at times exceed service standards.
•    Ensuring full procedures are in place.
•    Calculation of both complex lifecycle and non-lifecycle referrals.
•    Provide support for Operations on a wide range of technical actuarial queries.
•    To ensure that all enquiries are recorded correctly on the Company Systems, in order for work to be scheduled to the individual and the team and to provide an audit trail.
•    To undertake any other duties as may be deemed appropriate by your Team Leader.

Skill Requirements

Education/Qualifications
Essential
Graduation in Actuarial Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Engineering/Science/Commerce
Desirable
BSC/MSC Actuarial Science or BSC Mathematical or Financial subject
Student member of Institute of Actuaries of India/Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK

Specific Job Skills
Good Communication and Interpersonal Skills
Good MS Office Skills
