Job Summary- HVAC Lab Technician
An HVAC Lab Technician works in a testing laboratory environment supporting the development, testing, maintenance, and evaluation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) equipment. This role helps engineers, instructors, or senior technicians to set up tests, operate lab systems, troubleshoot issues, and document results.

Key Responsibilities
Typical duties may include:
•    Set up and operate test equipment including HVAC systems and components according to engineering specifications or test procedures. 
•    Assemble, modify, and troubleshoot test units using blueprints, manuals, or instructions. 
•    Collect, analyze, and record data (temperature, pressure, airflow, electrical readings) and prepare written reports 
•    Maintain and calibrate lab instruments and tools to ensure accurate testing results 
•    Maintain lab cleanliness and organization, including proper storing of tools and supplies. 
•    Collaborate with engineers, QA teams, or instructors to support lab projects and product development.
•    Troubleshoot technical issues with test specimens and equipment, applying mechanical and electrical skills. 
•    Participate in laboratory safety programs and follow established safety procedures.

Education
•    Associate’s degree (or vocational training) in HVAC, mechanical technology, or related field OR equivalent experience in HVAC/R testing environments. 
Experience
•    1–4+ years in HVAC systems, lab testing, assembly/testing environments, or related technical work. 
Skills
•    Mechanical aptitude with familiarity in HVAC components and systems. 
•    Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and test specs. 
•    Data collection and reporting skills (often using MS Office or lab software). 
•    Basic electrical and instrumentation knowledge, including wiring and control signals. 
•    Effective communication and teamwork ability. 

Key Responsibilities

1. To identify and effectively address critical issues through in-depth analysis, driving resolution and optimizing performance.
2. To validate, analyze, and interpret results, crafting comprehensive reports and presenting findings to stakeholders, influencing key decisions and driving project progress.
3. To prepare the model for the analysis and build technical model.
4. to continuously monitor data accuracy and completeness throughout the analysis pipeline, preventing errors and delivering reliable insights for downstream decision-making.
5. To gather information and to prepare the methodology for the analysis

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
