Job Summary

This role is responsible for processing and applying customer payments within CRM and cloud-based financial systems to ensure accurate invoice reconciliation and transaction integrity. The individual maintains up-to-date records, responds to escalated customer queries, and participates in continuous skill development. They support efficient cash flow operations and uphold service level agreements by collaborating with internal team members.

Key Responsibilities

•    Lead resolution of complex cash application issues.
•    Design and implement automation for remittance matching.
•    Collaborate with IT and finance teams to enhance ERP functionality.
•    Conduct root cause analysis for recurring unapplied cash.
•    Review and approve journal entries and adjustments.
•    Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
•    Mentor junior team members and review their work.
•    Present cash application metrics and insights to leadership.

Skill Requirements

•    Process Optimization – Identify and implement improvements to reduce unapplied cash.
•    Advanced ERP & Automation Tools – Use of macros, RPA, or AI tools for automation.
•    Root Cause Analysis – Investigate and resolve complex payment issues.
•    Mentorship – Train and support junior team members.
•    Compliance & Controls – Ensure adherence to SOX and internal audit standards.
•    Reporting & Insights – Build dashboards and present insights to leadership.
•    Project Participation – Contribute to system upgrades and transformation initiatives.
