Job Summary
Develop, customize, enhance, and support the Temenos T24 (Transact) core banking application. Work closely with business, functional, testing, and production support teams to deliver high-quality banking solutions, ensure system stability, resolve production issues, and support digital transformation initiatives while following banking standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Job Purpose:
As a T24 Developer, you will play a key role in the development and maintenance of the T24 banking application, with a specific focus on loans and deposits modules. You will work closely with business analysts, system architects, and other stakeholders to design, implement, and optimize solutions within the T24 core banking system. Your expertise will ensure that the banking processes related to loans and deposits run efficiently and securely.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, configure, and maintain the T24 core banking system, particularly focusing on the Loans and Deposits modules.
Work on implementing changes and enhancements to the T24 application based on business requirements related to loans, deposits, and other financial products.
Customize and extend T24 modules using Temenos T24 tools (e.g., T24 programming languages, T24 Customization, Java, Unix/Linux scripts, and JBASE).
Integrate T24 with other banking systems, external interfaces, and third-party tools for enhanced functionality.
Collaborate with functional teams to understand business requirements and provide technical solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the Loans and Deposits modules, including performance problems, system errors, and data inconsistencies.
Perform unit testing and system integration testing for all enhancements and customizations.
Ensure that developed solutions comply with security standards and regulatory requirements in the banking and financial services industry.
Skill Requirements
Core Technical Skills
* Strong experience in Temenos T24 (Transact) development.
* Hands-on experience with InfoBasic (jBASE/TAFJ) programming.
* Good knowledge of T24 architecture, application design, and data model.
* Experience in developing and customizing versions, enquiries, routines, APIs, and local applications.
* Strong understanding of OFS (Open Financial Services) messaging.
* Experience with TAFJ and/or TAFC environments.
* Knowledge of jBASE database and file structures.
* Experience with Java (preferred for TAFJ environments).
* SQL and database knowledge (Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL as applicable).
* Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and system integrations.
* Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
Banking Knowledge
* Strong understanding of core banking operations.
* Knowledge of modules such as:
* Customer
* Accounts
* Deposits
* Lending
* Funds Transfer
* Payments
* Treasury (preferred)
* Trade Finance (preferred)
* Understanding of end-of-day (EOD) and end-of-month processing.
Development & Delivery
* Requirement analysis and technical design.

* Knowledge of Temenos Integration Framework (TIF) and Temenos APIs is an added advantage.
