Senior Automation Tester - Networking L2/L3 Protocol Testing

Job Summary

The Senior Automation Tester plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of network software through rigorous testing of L2/L3 protocols. This position emphasizes the importance of creating precise test cases, executing tests according to established standards, and collaborating with both the internal team and clients to meet project requirements effectively. By adhering to best practices in automation testing, this role directly contributes to enhancing the overall performance and stability of networking solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Create And Review Test Cases Based On Functional Specifications And Software Requirement Specification Documents To Ensure Comprehensive Coverage Of L2/L3 Protocols.
2. Execute Functionality Tests In Alignment With The Test Plan And Respective Test Cases, Focusing On Networking Software Performance And Compliance With Specifications.
3. Collaborate In The Development Of Test Plans And Strategies Specific To L2/L3 Protocol Testing, Contributing Insights Based On The Assigned Work And Testing Outcomes.
4. Coordinate Discussions With Team Members To Refine Testing Processes And Communicate Updates And Findings To Clients, Ensuring Alignment With Project Expectations.
5. Schedule Testing Tasks Effectively, Maintain Progress Reports, And Provide Status Updates To Stakeholders, Ensuring Transparency And Adherence To Timelines.

Skill Requirements

1. Strong Understanding Of Networking Concepts, Specifically L2/L3 Protocols.
2. Proficient In Creating And Reviewing Test Cases And Test Plans.
3. Experience In Executing Automated Tests Using Relevant Testing Tools And Frameworks.
4. Familiarity With Software Requirement Documentation And Functional Specifications.
5. Good Communication Skills For Effective Collaboration With Team Members And Clients.

Other Requirements

1. Optional But Valuable: Istqb Certified Tester Foundation Level (Ctfl) Or Relevant Certification In Automation Testing.
2. Optional But Valuable: Cisco Certified Network Associate (Ccna) Certification.
