Job Description 1: Junior GitHub API Automation Engineer (3 - 5 Years Experience)
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Junior Automation Engineer to help build and maintain backend Python scripts that interact with GitHub. 
You will focus on API validation, payload processing, and writing resilient code to automate daily repository tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop Python scripts to automate routine GitHub workflows, such as cherry picking, revert & fetching daily Pull Requests (PRs) for extracting metadata like Jira IDs from PR descriptions.
Process and validate varying API payloads, including JSON and XML formats.
Implement basic exception handling (try, catch, else, finally blocks) to manage runtime errors, such as database connection failures or missing files.
Build simple retry mechanisms to handle intermittent network issues or temporary API downtime.
Utilize basic Regex and string manipulation to parse text and extract required data patterns from unstructured text.
Requirements:
Must Have: Experience with Python scripting and a solid understanding of API integration protocols (REST and basic GraphQL).
Must Have: Understanding of Python iterators for traversing data sequentially.
Good to Have: Familiarity with GitHub Actions for basic CI/CD execution and Networking Basics
Nice to Have: Awareness of Copilot AI Automation and GitHub Advanced Security tools (CVE scanning, Dependabot, CodeQL).

Key Responsibilities

1. Create And Review Test Cases Based On Functional Specifications And Software Requirement Specification Documents, Ensuring Comprehensive Coverage Of Networking Functionalities.
2. Execute Automated Test Scripts Using Python To Validate The Functionality Of Networking Components, Adhering To The Established Test Plans And Specific Test Cases.
3. Contribute To The Development Of Test Plans By Incorporating Insights From Networking Functionalities And Ensuring Alignment With Project Requirements.
4. Coordinate With Team Members For Discussions On Testing Strategies And Interact With Clients To Provide Updates On Testing Progress And Outcomes.
5. Schedule Testing Tasks Effectively And Report On Test Results, Highlighting Issues And Suggesting Improvements To Enhance Software Quality.

Skill Requirements

1. Strong Understanding Of Networking Concepts And Protocols (E.G., Tcp/Ip, Dns, Dhcp).
2. Proficiency In Python For Automation Testing, With Experience In Using Testing Frameworks.
3. Familiarity With Test Case Design And Execution Methodologies.
4. Basic Knowledge Of Software Development Life Cycle And Testing Best Practices.
5. Good Communication And Collaboration Skills To Work Effectively With Cross-Functional Teams.

Other Requirements

1. Optional But Valuable: Certifications In Networking (E.G., Ccna) Or Python Automation Testing (E.G., Certified Python Programmer).
