Senior Azure API Technical Lead

Job Summary

Owns the end-to-end architecture and technical delivery for the ECIF-OI API Platform Expansion, including Azure Federated APIM control and data plane design, governance, and cross-cloud integration.

Key Responsibilities

Define target-state architecture for Azure Federated APIM including multi-region, HA/DR, and scalability patterns.

· Design control plane and data plane segregation, networking, private endpoints, and backend integrations.

· Establish API product strategy, lifecycle governance, versioning, and deprecation standards.

· Lead proof-of-concept execution, technical decision making, and stakeholder technical reviews.

· Provide architecture oversight for self-hosted APIM on AWS and hybrid connectivity.

· Mentor engineering and operations teams; enforce architecture and coding standards.

Skill Requirements

Azure API Management (Federated, Self-hosted Gateway)

· Azure Networking, Private Link, Load Balancers

· API design (REST, WebSockets, Async APIs)

· Cloud security and governance frameworks

· CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (Bicep/Terraform)

· 10+ years cloud architecture experience

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
