Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Archiving Lead to drive enterprise-wide SAP Data Archiving, Information Lifecycle Management (ILM), and Data Volume Management initiatives across SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, and related applications. The role will be responsible for defining archiving strategies, ensuring regulatory compliance, reducing database growth, supporting SAP transformation programs, and enabling efficient long-term data retention and access.

  • Lead SAP Archiving, ILM, and Data Volume Management initiatives across SAP landscapes.
  • Define and implement data retention, legal hold, archive access, and governance policies.
  • Design and deploy SAP Archive Objects, SAP ILM, and archive repository solutions.
  • Conduct database growth analysis and develop data reduction strategies to improve SAP performance.
  • Drive archive-before-migrate initiatives for ECC to SAP S/4HANA transformation programs.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate retention policies, GDPR, audit, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Basis, Infrastructure, Business, and Compliance teams to execute archiving and housekeeping activities.
  • Lead archive testing, validation, reconciliation, and audit readiness activities.
  • Manage stakeholders, vendors, and global delivery teams while providing executive-level reporting on progress, risks, and benefits.

Skill Requirements

5+ years of SAP experience with strong expertise in SAP Archiving, ILM, and Data Volume Management.

  • Experience supporting SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
  • SAP ILM, SAP Basis, SAP Data Management, or related certifications preferred.
  • SAP Data Archiving & Archive Object Implementation
  • SAP Information Lifecycle Management (ILM)
  • Data Volume Management (DVM)
  • SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP BW
  • SAP Content Server, OpenText, IXOS, or equivalent archive repositories
  • Database Growth Analysis & Performance Optimization
  • Data Retention, Legal Hold & Compliance Management
  • SAP Basis & HANA Administration Concepts
  • S/4HANA Migration & Data Management
  • Strong Stakeholder Management and Leadership Skills
