Senior Design Lead - C, Creo/ProE, Sheet Metal Design

Job Summary

The Senior Design Lead will be responsible for leading the design team in the development of c,Creo/ProE,Sheet Metal Design projects. This role involves overseeing the design process, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, and collaborating with cross functional teams to deliver high-quality designs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and mentor the design team throughout the project lifecycle
2. Develop and implement design strategies in alignment with project goals
3. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs meet technical requirements
4. Oversee the creation of 2d drawings and 3d models using  creo/proe software 
5. Conduct design reviews and provide feedback for continuous improvement
6. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively

Skill Requirements

  • Strong experience in Mechanical Design Engineering, with hands-on expertise in product development.
  • Proficient in Sheet Metal Design, including design optimization for manufacturability.
  • Skilled in 3D concept development and creation of detailed 2D manufacturing drawings.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes such as sheet metal fabrication, welding, and machining.
  • Experience in Bill of Materials (BOM) preparation, manufacturing drawings, and engineering drawing standards.
  • Hands-on experience with Windchill or similar Product Data Management (PDM) tools.
  • Sound knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), tolerance stack-up analysis, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with Engineering Change Order (ECO/ECR) processes and mechanical hardware/component selection.
  • Strong problem-solving, coordination, and technical decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team-handling skills with the ability to lead and mentor engineers.
  • Demonstrates the capability to mentor junior engineers on drawing standards and effectively review deliverables to ensure high-quality, defect-free project execution.
     



Other Requirements

1.Relevant certifications in Creo/ProE or Sheet Metal Design are a plus
