Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Electromechanical Assembly Technician to join our Engineering Technical Services team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of complex, precision electro-mechanical systems. This role is critical in ensuring the quality and functionality of our cutting-edge products, involving hands-on work with tight tolerance components, electrical wiring, and advanced testing equipment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Proven experience in electromechanical assembly, preferably with high-precision or tight-tolerance systems.

  • Strong technical proficiency in reading and interpreting detailed engineering documentation (blueprints, schematics).

  •  Demonstrated expertise in soldering and electrical wiring techniques.

  • Familiarity with standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes and electronic voltmeters.

  • Experience with process improvement, jig/fixture design, or manufacturing efficiency projects is a plus.

  •  Excellent attention to detail and strong manual dexterity.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.

 

Skill Requirements

  • Assembly of precision electro/mechanical systems including tight tolerance mechanical assemblies, electrical wire routing and cable termination

  • Align, fit, and assemble component parts, using hand tools, power tools, fixtures and appropriate shop tools

  • Install electrical and electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies, using soldering equipment and hand tools

  • Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly

  • Test performance of electromechanical assemblies, using test instruments such as oscilloscopes, electronic voltmeters, and bridges

  • Design and build fixtures and tools to

  • Run experiments to improve current processes or develop processes that enable greater shop efficiencies

  • Run test stations and do light data entry as necessary to appropriately document results

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
