Job Summary

The Senior Design Lead plays a crucial role in shaping high-quality designs that align with project objectives and customer requirements. This position involves integrating design principles with manufacturability considerations, ensuring consistency and excellence throughout the design process. The role also emphasizes collaboration with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to achieve optimal design outcomes.

OEM Engineer

  • Write User requirements for OEM PLC/SCADA System
  • Review and Approve related Design Documentation.
  • Partner with local site project teams to scope changes on the OEM PLC/SCADA System
  • Specific experience in engineering-design, commissioning and qualification of Siemens WinCC SCADA and TIA portal. 5 or more years of experience in PLC application. Proven record of proficiencies associated with business analysis on small sized projects.
  • Follow the SDLC Procedure to implement changes (covering RS updates, RTM Change control, Implementation and test)
  • Ensure implement is implemented in a safe fashion with quality a necessary output.
  • Use and update of development system if required
  • Educate local project teams on automation standards as they relate to technology selection, system configuration, SDLC, validation, hardware, software environments and business processes.
  • Partner with internal Digital departments ensuring standard and secure implementation in line with MSD Standards

Key Responsibilities

1. Collaborate With Stakeholders To Gather And Refine Design Requirements By Utilizing Design For Manufacturability (Dfm) Principles, Ensuring That All Designs Meet Project Specifications And User Needs.
2. Develop And Evaluate Prototypes And Proof-Of-Concept Implementations Using Cad Software, Validating Design Choices And Iterating Based On Feedback To Enhance Product Feasibility.
3. Mentor And Guide Junior Designers By Sharing Knowledge And Expertise, Conducting Training Sessions, And Creating Documentation To Foster Skill Development And Best Practices In Dfm.
4. Work Closely With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Engineers And Product Managers, To Ensure That Design Solutions Align With Overall Project Goals And Manufacturing Capabilities.
5. Collaborate With Quality Assurance Teams To Establish And Uphold Rigorous Quality Standards, Employing Dfm Techniques To Minimize Defects And Enhance Product Reliability.

Skill Requirements

1. - Proficient In Design For Manufacturability (Dfm) Principles And Component Engineering.
2. - Strong Understanding Of Cad Software And Prototyping Tools.
3. - Familiarity With Manufacturing Processes And Materials.
4. - Basic Knowledge Of Quality Assurance Methodologies And Best Practices.

Other Requirements

1. Optional Certifications In Design For Manufacturability (Dfm) Or Related Fields Are Valuable But Not Mandatory.
