Job Summary

Lead hardware design for SoC-based consumer electronic products from concept through mass production with high autonomy and limited guidance.

The Senior Design Lead will be responsible for overseeing design verification & validation, PCB Design Tool, and test/interface/uc board design. The primary focus will be on leading the design team, ensuring the successful verification and validation of designs, utilizing PCB design tools effectively, and designing test/interface/uc boards.

Key Responsibilities

  • This person must be able to work with limited guidance and capable of converting requirements and specifications into functional designs (block diagram, schematic) independently.
  • They have expertise in SoC/DDR design, memory devices, high speed design (DSI, CSI, I2C, SPI, HDMI, USB, Ethernet, DP).
  • They must be familiar and have hands-on experience with ECAD design tools like OrCAD Capture and Cadence Allegro. Schematics capture and layout literate.
  • They should have experience in delivering complex EE system design with multilayer PCBs.
  • Ability to drive failure analysis, debugs, identify root cause and implement corrective actions.

Skill Requirements

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering
- 5+ years experience of hardware design and validation of components, subsystems and systems
- Experience performing Design, Analysis, PCB schematic and layout reviews to ensure specification compliance
- Knowledge of Power and thermal design and validation
- Experience performing hardware Design & validation, including high-speed I/O, low-speed I/O, voltage regulator and evaluating results

- Experience using scripting languages, such as Python

- Understanding of electrical engineering design principles, transmission-line theory, SI/PI analysis, PCB PDN design, and high-speed circuit designs
- Experience using high speed Logic Analyzers and Oscilloscopes, TDR/VNAs, Power Meters, etc

Other Requirements

1.Any relevant certifications in design verification & validation, PCB Design Tool, or related fields are a plus

- Experience with test strategy design for automated functional and system testing
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production

Minimum Salary (US):  88000

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
