Senior Design Lead - Physical Design

Job Summary

The Senior Design Lead is responsible for overseeing multiple design teams and establishing organizational design standards. This role emphasizes innovation within the design process, ensuring that design efforts significantly contribute to the achievement of business objectives. The Senior Design Lead champions user-friendly and intuitive software and products, fostering a collaborative environment that aligns with the company’s vision.

Key Responsibilities

1. Utilize Advanced Knowledge In Physical Design Tools And Methodologies To Create User-Friendly And Intuitive Software, Ensuring Products Align With User Expectations And Enhance Overall User Experiences.
2. Lead And Mentor A Team Of Designers, Providing Strategic Guidance And Oversight To Deliver High-Quality Design Solutions That Meet Organizational Business Goals.
3. Present And Articulate Design Concepts Effectively To Stakeholders, Shaping The Overall Design Vision And Strategy While Ensuring Alignment With Business Objectives.
4. Conduct Research On Industry Trends And Emerging Technologies In Physical Design To Foster Innovation And Excellence, Implementing Best Practices To Elevate Design Processes.

Skill Requirements

 

  • Define and implement the overall physical design strategy for assigned projects, considering factors like performance, power, and area
  • Perform floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis (CTS), and routing for complex digital circuits
  • Ensure adherence to design rules and manufacturability guidelines
  • Utilize physical design tools and methodologies (place and route tools, static timing analysis tools) to achieve timing closure and optimal physical design
  • Collaborate with design, verification, and layout teams to ensure seamless integration throughout the design flow
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical leadership on physical design aspects

Other Requirements

1. Optional But Valuable: Certified Professional In Design (Cpd) Or Equivalent Certifications In Design Methodologies.
2. Optional But Valuable: Certified User Experience Professional (Cuxp) Or Similar Certifications.
