Job Summary

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Mechatronics Engineer to support robotics mechanics development within Industrial Robotics Group. You will work at the intersection of mechanical, electrical, controls, firmware, and system integration teams to ensure successful development, validation, and deployment of advanced robotic systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end NPI Mechatronics activities for robotics platforms from EVT, DVT, PVT to MP phases.
  • Collaborate with R&D, mechanical, electrical, firmware, controls, and manufacturing teams.
  • Drive prototype builds, engineering validation, and design verification activities.
  • Integrate Robotics subsystems including- Actuators, Motors and servos, End effectors, Sensor modules
  • Support robotic assembly and bring-up activities.
  • Verify kinematics, motion performance, and system functionality.
  • Develop and execute test plans for – Functional validation, Reliability testing, Environmental testing, performance & safety compliance
  • Analyze test failures and drive root cause investigations.
  • Create validation reports and product readiness assessments.
  • Partner with firmware and Hardware engineers on hardware-software-Mechanical co-development
  • Work with ODM/CM on review of artifacts and planning improvements in design and production

Skill Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience as Mechatronics Lead for robotics, industrial, automotive, or consumer electronics
  • Able to contribute to system-level electrical architecture (block diagrams, interface definitions, voltage domains) for multi-board robotic platforms spanning compute, motor control, sensing, and communication subsystems
  • Strong EE background and Able to review schematics produced by external design partners (ODMs, contract engineering firms), validating component selection and design trade-offs, and flagging misalignment with the system architecture
  • Experience in using CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA)
  • Experience with robotic arms, mobile robots, humanoid robots, or warehouse automation systems.
  • Knowledge of Robotics Operating System (ROS/ROS2).
  • Experience with EtherCAT, CAN, CAN-FD, SPI, UART, I2C.
  • Familiarity with industrial robotics safety standards.
  • Experience in prototype assembly and system bring-up.
  • Experience working with contract manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Experience reviewing designs produced by external engineering teams or ODMs an dproviding technical feedback on component selection and design trade-offs

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
