Job Description
- Requires strong knowledge of CFD, Heat Transfer and Pre & Post processing of CFD Tasks.
- Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services.
- Work on simulation problems independently with minimal guidance.
- Must act as a resource for colleagues.
- Should have in-depth knowledge on fluid dynamics and heat transfer.
- Expert knowledge on Modelling tools such as UG NX, Autodesk Inventor etc. for CAD model simplifications and CFD model preparations.
- Must have knowledge on commercially available CFD analysis tools such as SpaceClaim, Ansys Mesher, Ansys Fluent, CFD-ACE+ module.
- Exposure to Chemical reactions/Plasma simulations is an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Works with teams in developing CFD/Thermal models to analyze the problems related to Flow and Thermal
- Interpret analysis results with respect to results obtained by lab testing procedures, converting these results into practical design suggestions.
- Works on difficult CAE problems to assist product development.
- Works on identifying product design and development problems where CAE analysis can accelerate development.
- Proactively validates/correlates results with real world data and makes model improvements as deemed necessary.
- Very good understanding of business unit processes and hardware; good knowledge of data analysis techniques to summarize CAE data.
- Generates high-level engineering test reports and presents CAE results/conclusions to the design/process engineering community.
Skill Requirements
- Must have in-depth knowledge of fluid dynamics and heat transfer
- Expert user of commercially available CFD analysis tools such as CFD-ACE+, Ansys Fluent/CFX/Ansys Mechanical and COMSOL
- Expert in using meshing software like Ansys WB
- Preferable to have knowledge of Plasma related simulations
- Strong skills in problem solving, teamwork and quality
- Must be a good communicator, enthusiastic, cooperative and must be a team player

Academic Qualifications
- B.E/ B. Tech, MS/M.Tech in Mechanical - Thermal and Fluids Engineering or MS/M.Tech in Chemical engineering with 10 to 12 years of experience in Flow/Thermal and Chemical Engineering domains.
