Job Summary
The Senior Product Designer plays a crucial role in shaping innovative and high-quality designs that align with project visions and customer requirements. This position emphasizes collaboration with stakeholders, prototyping, and mentoring to drive design excellence and foster creativity within the team.
1. 4~6 years of industrial experience in the field of plastic and sheet metal products design (preferably with single phase UPS and Datacenter Rack Power Distribution products)
2. Ability to design/develop plastic, sheet metal, wire harness and label part drawings using CorelDRAW, AutoCAD, Creo Parametric and Solid works
3. Ability to qualify/validate new/revised parts to resolve supply chain, quality and cost issues (QVE, EOL. etc)
4. Experience with packaging design and validation
5. Knowledge on electro-mechanical and battery pack parts
6. Ability to investigate Engineering Change Requests & prepare design feasibility/impact analysis reports
7. Knowledge of BOM, ECN/ECO and Part/Product Life Cycle processes is essential
Key Responsibilities
2. Develop Prototypes And Proof-Of-Concept Implementations Using Design Tools Such As Cad Software And 3D Modeling, Validating Design Choices And Enhancing Usability.
3. Mentor And Train Junior Designers By Sharing Knowledge And Expertise Through Structured Training Sessions And Comprehensive Documentation, Fostering A Culture Of Learning.
4. Partner With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Engineering And Product Management, To Ensure Software Design Integrates Seamlessly With Overall Project Goals.
5. Work Closely With Quality Assurance Teams To Establish Design Quality Metrics And Maintain High Standards Throughout The Design Process.
Skill Requirements
2. Familiarity With Geometric Dimensioning And Tolerancing Standards To Ensure Precision In Design Specifications.
3. Experience With Design Software Such As Solidworks, Autocad, Or Similar Tools.
4. Strong Interpersonal And Communication Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Diverse Stakeholders.
Other Requirements
