Job Summary

HCLTech is seeking a highly versatile, hands-on Mechatronics Engineer to join our Engineering Services team. In this role, you will play a key part in designing, developing, and refining complex robotic and automated systems. You will guide projects from early concept through full implementation, applying mechanical, electrical, and software engineering disciplines to deliver high‑quality prototype hardware and system improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead hardware development from concept through prototype build and final bring‑up.
  • Apply mechanical, electrical, and software engineering principles to evaluate robotic systems and recommend improvements for performance, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Independently assess project goals, scope, and complexity to define effective project plans and execution strategies.
  • Own all phases of the engineering process, including conceptual design, analysis, CAD, drafting, BOM creation, fabrication, assembly, testing, and documentation.

Skill Requirements

1. Strong understanding and application of design for manufacturing & assembly (dfma) methodologies.
2. Proficiency in cad design skills, including creating 2d drawings and 3d models.
3. Experience with creo software for product design and development.
4. Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes to optimize designs for production.
5. Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to address design challenges effectively.
6. Good communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders effectively.
Maximum Salary (US):  116000
Minimum Salary (US):  75000

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
