Job Summary

The Senior Designer in Design For Manufacturability (DFM) plays a pivotal role in ensuring that designs meet high-quality standards and align with project goals and customer expectations. This position emphasizes collaboration with various stakeholders and the prototyping of innovative solutions, making it essential for delivering successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Collaborate With Stakeholders To Gather And Refine Design Requirements, Ensuring Alignment With Project Specifications And Customer Needs Using Dfm Principles.
2. Develop And Evaluate Prototypes And Proof-Of-Concept Implementations Utilizing Cad Software To Validate Design Decisions And Enhance Manufacturability.
3. Mentor Junior Designers By Sharing Expertise And Facilitating Training Sessions Focused On Best Practices In Dfm And Component Engineering.
4. Coordinate With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Engineering And Production, To Ensure That Software And Hardware Designs Are Integrated Effectively With Overall Project Objectives.
5. Work With Quality Assurance Teams To Implement Dfm Standards And Conduct Design Reviews, Maintaining High-Quality Outputs And Compliance With Industry Regulations.

Skill Requirements

1. Strong Understanding Of Design For Manufacturability (Dfm) Principles And Practices.
2. Proficiency In Pcb Design Tools And Cad Software For Effective Design Implementation.
3. Good Knowledge Of Component Engineering And Its Application In Product Design.
4. Basic Understanding Of Quality Assurance Processes Related To Design And Manufacturing.

Other Requirements

1. Optional But Valuable Certifications: Certified Dfm Professional (Dfmp), Ipc Designer Certification.
