Job Summary

SAP Junior Frontend Developer (UI5/Fiori) to join our India‑based SAP Test Automation & Process Innovation team.

This role supports the design, development and maintenance of SAP UI5/Fiori applications, ensures consistent and intuitive user experience, contributes to integrations with SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP services, and assists in the continuous improvement of global SAP frontend solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design, development, testing and maintenance of SAP UI5/Fiori applications 
  • Assist in implementing enhancements, UI extensions and basic Fiori app modifications 
  • Develop responsive UI components under guidance using SAPUI5, HTML5, JavaScript and CSS3 
  • Collaborate with backend developers to integrate UI5 apps with OData services 
  • Support L2/L3 AMS activities by analyzing and resolving frontend‑related incidents and defects 
  • Assist in maintaining SAP Gateway and Fiori Launchpad configurations 
  • Prepare and update basic technical documentation, test scripts and design notes 
  • Coordinate with senior developers, architects and functional consultants to implement changes 
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions and knowledge‑sharing sessions 
  • Contribute to agile and classical AMS project tasks as part of the development team 
  • Follow security, compliance and guidelines when implementing changes 
  • Continuously learn SAP UI5/Fiori best practices, SAP design guidelines and development tools

Skill Requirements

  • > 3 years of experience in Fiori/UI5 development
  • Good knowledge of SAPUI5 (HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, XML & JSON) 
  • Experience with SAP Web IDE
  • Understanding of UI/UX principles and SAP Fiori design guidelines 
  • Interest in enhancing SAP Fiori Launchpad configuration and app deployment 
  • Basic debugging and problem‑solving skills in frontend development
  • Ability to create functional and technical specifications and test documentation 
  • Good understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes based on ITIL
  • Strong collaboration skills with application teams and service providers
  • Proactive and structured working style with attention to quality, security and compliance
  • Very good written and spoken English skills; German language skills are an advantage
  • Experience in agile and classical project delivery models
  • Team player with the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and disciplines
  • Ability to understand complex requirements and translate them into scalable frontend solutions

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to SAP updates and process changes

Tools & Systems Experience

  • SAP ECC and S/4HANA systems
