Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
1- Domain Knowledge
Understanding of Embedded/IoT systems, cloud-based platforms, and mobile ecosystems (Android and iOS) to perform testing of connected devices, mobile applications, and services.
2- Test Case Design & Execution
Design, review, and execute comprehensive manual test cases based on functional specifications and user stories. Ensure thorough coverage of positive, negative, boundary, and exploratory scenarios.
3- Defect Management & Reporting
Identify, document, and track defects using standard defect tracking tools. Collaborate closely with developers and business analysts to ensure timely resolution and retesting of issues.
4- Requirement Analysis & Test Planning
Participate in functional and technical discussions with stakeholders to understand business requirements, clarify design specifications, and identify potential risks or inconsistencies. Ensure test environments and data are prepared and maintained for effective manual testing.
5- Process Improvement & Best Practices
Continuously evaluate and suggest improvements in manual testing processes, documentation standards, and test coverage strategies to enhance overall quality and efficiency.
6- Mentorship & Collaboration
Guide and mentor junior QA engineers in manual testing techniques, domain knowledge, and effective communication. Foster a culture of quality and collaboration within the QA team.
7- Basic Automation Awareness (Optional but Valuable)
While primarily focused on manual testing, familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Robot Framework, Selenium, Appium) and scripting (e.g., Python) is a plus for collaboration with automation teams.
Skill Requirements
Embedded Device Testing/Manual/Functional Testing / IOT Systems & Testing
IoT platforms/Cloud-based services,/device management/ data communication protocols (MQTT, HTTP, CoAP)/over-the-air (OTA) updates.
Communication interfaces such as UART, SPI, I2C/wireless protocols like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth.
Other Requirements
Need to work in Lab with devices.
