Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Embedded Software Engineer with strong expertise in Embedded C, AUTOSAR Diagnostics, and Automotive Communication Protocols. The role involves designing, developing, integrating, and validating diagnostic software for automotive ECUs while ensuring compliance with ISO 26262, AUTOSAR, and ASPICE standards. The candidate will contribute across the complete software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis through testing and release.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for automotive ECUs using Embedded C.Develop and integrate diagnostic functionalities based on standards such as UDS (ISO 14229), OBD (SAE J1979), ISO 15765, and ISO 14230.Configure and develop AUTOSAR diagnostic modules including:
  • Diagnostic Communication Manager (DCM)
  • Diagnostic Event Manager (DEM)
Analyze software requirements and contribute to architecture and design activities.Perform software implementation, debugging, static code analysis, unit testing, and integration testing.Support fault management, diagnostic event handling, and error reporting mechanisms.Ensure compliance with functional safety requirements (ISO 26262) and Automotive SPICE processes.Investigate and resolve issues using CAN/network analysis and debugging tools.Collaborate with system, software, validation, and test teams throughout the product development lifecycle.Maintain software versions and track development activities using configuration management and project management tools.

Skill Requirements

  • Strong experience in Embedded C programming
  • Good understanding of automotive ECU software architecture
  • Hands-on experience with diagnostic protocols such as UDS, J1939, and OBD
  • Diagnostics Software and Fault Management in protocols like ISO 14229, ISO 15765, ISO 14230, ISO 26262 SAE J1979(1,2 and 3 Series document)
  • Experience in Autosar modules like Diagnostic Error Management(DEM), Diagnostic Communication Management(DCM)
  • Knowledge of AUTOSAR architecture and Base software concepts
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 (functional safety) and Automotive SPICE processes contribute to work products and assessments.
  • Experience with software development lifecycle activities: Requirements analysis, architecture & design, implementation, unit/integration testing, debug, and Static analysis.
  • Familiarity with CAN tools and debugging tools (e.g., CANoe, CANalyzer)
  • Understanding of automotive communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with software configuration management tools like JIRA, Git, SVN
