Job Summary
Legal Compliance Product Manager (also called Local Product Manager)The Legal Compliance Product Manager is a Key Role. The Legal Compliance Product Manager will be accountable for localized countries and German GAAP (Handelsgesetzbuch HGB), German Tax (Einkommensteuergesetz EStG), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Principles) and US GAAP localized accounting principles in SAP ERP.ResponsibilitiesBelow are some of the key responsibilities of Legal Compliance Product Manager.Collect legal changes for the countries localized for SAP , ensure that:Identify and address the legal changes from a business point of view that are announced by government authorities on a regular basisResponsible for understanding and getting clarifications from legal authorities for the legal changes, when needed.Prioritize and share legal changes from country/region with the SAP Product ManagersAccountable for creation of clear legal specifications in the Market Requirements Document (MRD) and/or JIRA and its review/clarification with SAP PM team.QualificationsERP Financial Domain experience is mandatory.Bachelor’s or Master’s DegreeDeep knowledge of localization business processes and taxationExperience with managing regulatory requirements in a software environment.Experience with SAP ERP solutions, preferably SAP Business ByDesign and SAP B1. Ability to capture and productize customer and partner requirements.Working experience with “Atlassian Jira” and “Confluence”Ability to build and maintain a strong professional network with internal and external stakeholders.Strong written and verbal communication skills in English is necessary.Work ExperienceMinimum 5+ years of overall professional experience related to the above skills, preferably.with SAP financial accounting and logistics software as an implementation consultant, taxconsultant/advisor, or product managerStrong team player in a multi-cultural environmentExperience in handling customer issues, coordination of teams, and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities
2. To monitor occurrences of new software releases, support packs and kernel upgrades and how these affect the application and users.
3. Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement and optimization across the ERP system, aligning with business goals.
4. To perform troubleshooting for complex technical issues at the ERP and database level.
5. To stay updated on emerging ERP technology trends and transfer knowledge to the team members.
