Key Responsibilities

What You'll Do

  • Support factory builds through EVT, DVT, PVT, and production ramp phases
  • Setup, validate, and maintain manufacturing test stations
  • Perform software bundle validation and release activities
  • Drive process controls and manufacturing readiness activities
  • Analyze test data and drive yield and retest improvements
  • Track, troubleshoot, and resolve build issues during factory execution
  • Coordinate with Contract Manufacturers (CMs), vendors, and Apple engineering teams
  • Support dry-run preparation and build readiness activities
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and reporting
  • Conduct root cause analysis and drive corrective actions
  • Train and support factory personnel on test processes and procedures
  • Participate in post-build reviews and lessons-learned activities



Skill Requirements

Key Technical Skills

  • Mandatory / Key Skills
    • Strong programming skills in Python, Lua, or C/Objective-C
    • Experience with Git or SVN
    • Experience using Python, MATLAB, or JMP for data analysis
    • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced cross-functional environment
    • Experience supporting factory builds, NPI, manufacturing, or test engineering
    • Willingness to work inside factories during Dry Run and Build phases
    • Fluent Mandarin Chinese communication
    • Good English verbal and written communication
    • Strong Project Management and stakeholder coordination
    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field
    • Strong ownership, communication, and execution mindset

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting NPI programs in consumer electronics
  • Optical sensor or sensing system knowledge
  • Manufacturing test engineering experience
  • Factory build support experience
  • Electronic product design, validation, or debugging experience
  • Experience working with Contract Manufacturers (CMs)
  • Knowledge of yield analysis and statistical data analysis
  • Experience supporting wearable, audio, mobile, or consumer hardware products
